The specific contents of chemical management:
The procurement of hazardous chemicals is centrally managed by the Materials Supply Department. The Company strictly reviews the qualifications of suppliers and carriers. Safety Data Sheets and safety labels must be provided during procurement, and hazardous chemicals that have not been inspected or fail to meet applicable requirements are not allowed to be stored or used.
Handling and Transportation Stage
The transportation, loading, and unloading of hazardous chemicals are carried out by qualified entities and personnel. The Company strictly implements safe operating procedures, strengthens on-site vehicle monitoring, and enforces safety requirements for transport vehicles and loading and unloading areas to ensure safety throughout the entire loading, unloading, and transportation process.
The storage and use of hazardous chemicals strictly comply with applicable national laws, regulations, and standards. The Company implements classified storage, provides necessary safety facilities for fire prevention, explosion prevention, poisoning prevention, and leakage prevention, and ensures that safety signs and protective measures are properly in place, so as to keep the storage and use processes safe and controllable.
The Company conducts comprehensive identification and classification management of chemicals involved in its production and operation activities, and dynamically updates its list of hazardous chemicals and related characteristic information. It centrally manages information on the physicochemical properties, health risks, protection requirements, and emergency response measures of chemicals, while strictly regulating requirements for requisition, use, and on-site operations.
Hazardous chemical waste and scrapped materials are collected by category and disposed of in a standardized manner in accordance with applicable requirements. The disposal of scrapped materials strictly follows the required approval procedures. Arbitrary disposal, discarding, or unauthorized handling is strictly prohibited to prevent environmental pollution and safety risks.
The company adheres to all relevant chemical management laws and regulations in the regions where it operates and monitors international regulatory requirements, including the European Union's REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations. Zangge Mining continuously tracks the use and management of regulated chemicals and actively implements hazardous substance elimination plans, seeking safer alternatives to reduce or eliminate hazardous materials.
In 2024, the company continued advancing chemical reduction and substitution initiatives. For hydrochloric acid, previously used as a production auxiliary, a tri-component flotation reagent was widely introduced in 2023 to reduce its use. In 2024, the YC-85 collector, free of hydrochloric acid, was introduced to partially replace it. For powdered sodium hydroxide, another production auxiliary, it was replaced with safer and more environmentally friendly liquid sodium hydroxide, eliminating the risk of burns to operators and achieving complete substitution.
