The specific contents of chemical management:
During procurement, suppliers’ qualifications are strictly reviewed, and they are required to provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety labels for the purchased chemical products.
Handling and Transportation Stage
Transportation and handling are conducted by qualified personnel or certified contractors, with fire, explosion, and toxicity prevention measures applied according to the chemical properties.
Hazardous chemicals are stored in dedicated warehouses managed by certified personnel who have received professional training. Chemicals are strictly classified and stored separately in accordance with safety regulations.
Before use, hazardous chemicals are accompanied by detailed safety instructions, and operators must undergo safety training. Personnel are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to work.
Hazardous chemicals are disposed of under stringent safety protocols and only after approval from the Technical, Safety, and Production Departments. Chemicals that can be used in illicit drug production require approval from public security and safety supervision authorities before destruction.
The company adheres to all relevant chemical management laws and regulations in the regions where it operates and monitors international regulatory requirements, including the European Union's REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations. Zangge Mining continuously tracks the use and management of regulated chemicals and actively implements hazardous substance elimination plans, seeking safer alternatives to reduce or eliminate hazardous materials.
In 2024, the company continued advancing chemical reduction and substitution initiatives. For hydrochloric acid, previously used as a production auxiliary, a tri-component flotation reagent was widely introduced in 2023 to reduce its use. In 2024, the YC-85 collector, free of hydrochloric acid, was introduced to partially replace it. For powdered sodium hydroxide, another production auxiliary, it was replaced with safer and more environmentally friendly liquid sodium hydroxide, eliminating the risk of burns to operators and achieving complete substitution.
