As a leading developer of salt lake resources, the company has grown from a single potash producer into a diversified mining group engaged in potash, lithium, and copper. In 2016, Zangge Mining was successfully listed, marking a key milestone in the capital market and laying the foundation for rapid growth. Headquartered in Golmud, Qinghai, the company relies on Qarhan Salt Lake—the largest potash deposit in China—and has built a complete value chain of exploration, production, and sales. It controls key subsidiaries such as Zangge Potash and Zangge Lithium, while also investing in premium resources in Tibet and Laos, forming a dual domestic-international development model. After over 20 years of growth, Zangge Mining has established stable supplies of potassium chloride and battery-grade lithium carbonate, and holds a 30.78% stake in Julong Copper, making it a leader in potash, lithium, and copper development in China. Since 2016, total assets have grown from RMB 7.36 billion to RMB 15.08 billion in 2024, while profits rose from RMB 1.09 billion to RMB 2.71 billion, showing steady growth and strong profitability.

June 1996: Established Yuyuan Holdings Co., Ltd.

2002: Founded Golmud Zangge Potash Co., Ltd., which gradually developed into the second-largest potash enterprise in Qinghai.

2007: In line with national policies on resource integration, consolidated 13 potash enterprises east of the Qarhan Railway and Qinghai Kunlun Mining Co., Ltd., acquiring their shares and assets at significant investment.

January 2011: Company name changed to Jingu Yuan Holdings Co., Ltd.

2016: Successfully listed through a reverse merger with Jingu Yuan, officially becoming Zangge Holdings (Stock Code: 000408).

Diversification

2017: Established Golmud Zangge Lithium Co., Ltd., entering the new energy sector with a 20,000-ton-per-year lithium carbonate project, expanding lithium operations based on salt lake resources.

April 2018: Founded Zangge Jiajin Industry Co., Ltd., engaged in mining technology services, development, transfer, and consulting.

2021: Obtained exploration rights for the “Detailed Investigation of Deep Brine Potash Deposits, Eastern Segment of Xiaoliangshan–Dafengshan Area, Mangya Administrative Committee, Qinghai Province,” covering 516.59 km².

Rapid Growth

2022: Achieved operating revenue of RMB 8.194 billion, up 126.19% year-on-year; total profit reached RMB 6.593 billion, up 288.99% year-on-year; net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 5.655 billion, up 296.18%, all key financial indicators reaching record highs.

December 2022: Awarded the title of “Most Promising Listed Company in New Energy and New Materials.”

January 2023: Selected in the “Hurun China 500” (2022 edition).

2024: Selected in the “Hurun China 500” (2023 edition); company’s market value surpassed RMB 50 billion, receiving strong recognition from investors.

Strategic Upgrade

January 2025: Issued an announcement on the planned transfer of equity and change of control by controlling shareholders and shareholders holding more than 5%. Zijin Mining became the controlling shareholder. As a globally leading mining company, Zijin Mining will significantly enhance Zangge’s asset scale, resource reserves, management efficiency, and global development capacity, laying a solid foundation for high-quality growth.

    Mr. Wu Jianhui, born in November 1974, Chinese nationality, no overseas permanent residency. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from Southern Metallurgical Institute, holds a master’s degree in Geological Engineering from China University of Geosciences, and an MBA from the University of International Business and Economics. He is a professor-level senior engineer. Mr. Wu joined Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. (“Zijin Mining”) in August 1997 and has since held various senior management positions including Deputy Director of the Concentrator of Zijinshan Gold Mine, Deputy Director of the Pilot Plant of Zijinshan Copper Mine, Assistant Commander of the Zijinshan Copper Mine Construction Command, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Bayannur Zijin Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., General Manager of Zijin Copper Co., Ltd., Executive Deputy General Manager and General Manager of Smelting and Processing Management Department of Zijin Mining, General Manager of Tibet Julong Copper Co., Ltd., General Manager of Tibet Zijin Industrial Co., Ltd., Vice President of Zijin Mining. He joined Zijin Mining in February 2010 and has served as Assistant to the General Manager of Zijin Copper Co., Ltd., Environmental Director and Deputy General Manager of Tibet Julong Copper Co., Ltd., General Manager and Executive Vice General Manager of Tibet Ali Lago Resources Co., Ltd., and Chairman of Tibet Ali Lago Resources Co., Ltd. He specializes in environmental engineering with significant achievements, including 3 authorized invention patents and 3 utility model patents. He has led R&D projects such as the “High-Efficiency Active Coke Desulfurization Washing System.” His projects have won multiple awards, including the Second Prize of the “Outstanding Engineering Consulting Achievement Award” of the China Nonferrous Metals Construction Association, First Prize of Zijin Mining “Scientific and Technological Progress Award,” and several “Mass Technology Innovation Awards.” He is currently Director and Executive Vice President of Tibet Minerals.

She joined Zijin Mining in July 2013 and has served as Internal Control Specialist of the Supervisory and Audit Office, Deputy Head of the Finance Section of the Planning and Finance Department, Head of the Taxation Section, and Chief Financial Officer of Zijin Guokong. She is currently Director and Chief Financial Officer of Tibet Minerals.

He also concurrently served as Chairman and General Manager of Qinghai Salt Lake Lanke Lithium Co., Ltd. and Qinghai Salt Lake Hihong Chemical Co., Ltd. He joined Tibet Minerals in April 2018 and is currently Vice President, General Manager and Chief Engineer of Tibet Lithium, Deputy General Manager of Tibet Potash, and General Manager of Tibet Ali Mamicuo Mining Development Co., Ltd.
