Golmud Zangge Potash Co., Ltd. was established in 2002 with a registered capital of RMB 800 million. The company is headquartered in Golmud, Qinghai Province, with its production base located in the core mining area of Chaerhan Salt Lake. As a benchmark enterprise in China’s salt lake potash fertilizer industry, it is the second-largest potassium chloride producer in the country and one of the 30 key enterprises in Qinghai Province.

1. Industrial Use: Mainly used to produce other potassium salts such as caustic potash, potassium carbonate, potassium nitrate, potassium ferrocyanide, potassium permanganate, and monopotassium phosphate. It is also a component of electrolytes in the electrolysis of magnesium chloride for magnesium production, used in petroleum cracking as a heat medium, in oil drilling for well plugging, and in electroplating. In the pharmaceutical and healthcare fields, it can be used as a diuretic and a salt substitute.
2. Agricultural Use: As one of the three essential fertilizers, it is widely applied as base and topdressing fertilizer for both field crops and cash crops. Its functions include:
  • Regulating plant physiological functions and reducing water evaporation from leaves, thus enhancing drought resistance.
  • Promoting cell formation in plants.
  • Enhancing resistance to diseases and adverse climatic conditions.
  • Balancing nitrogen, phosphorus, and other nutrients within plants.
  • Strengthening plant tissues.

1. 1. Molecular Formula: KCl; Melting Point: 776°C; Properties: Potassium chloride is a neutral salt, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-explosive, and easily soluble in water. 
2. Content: K₂O ≥ 60%
3. Physical Characteristics: Red granules, particle size 2–4.5 mm
4. Main Uses: As a water-soluble fertilizer, potassium chloride tends to leach easily after application. Through processes such as solidification and cooling, it is made into slow-release potash fertilizer with uniform and rounded granules, high strength, high nutrient content, and adjustable slow-release performance. These features not only meet the requirements of mechanized fertilization but also make it suitable as a raw material for blended fertilizers.
