Zangge Mining Holds the 2026 Second-Quarter Safety Committee Meeting and “Safety Production Month” Launch Meeting

On June 1, Zangge Mining held its 2026 second-quarter Safety Committee meeting and the launch meeting for the 25th “Safety Production Month” campaign at its Chengdu headquarters. Organized by the Office of the Safety Committee, the meeting aimed to conduct an in-depth assessment of the current production safety and environmental situation, review the progress achieved in the second quarter, and make comprehensive arrangements for flood-season safety safeguards and key tasks under “Safety Production Month.” It also sought to further reinforce safety responsibilities across all employees and ensure that the Company’s production safety performance remains stable and continues to improve. All members of the Safety Committee attended the meeting either on site or online.
At the meeting, Xiao Yao, President of the Company and Chair of the Safety Committee, conducted warning education based on the recent May 22 major gas explosion accident at Liushenyu Coal Mine of Shanxi Tongzhou Group. He emphasized that the accident exposed serious problems such as disorganized management, ineffective risk assessment, and formalistic hazard investigation, sounding a clear alarm for corporate safety management. Xiao Yao pointed out that the line of defense for production safety is often breached when awareness becomes lax, responsibilities are weakened, and management becomes ineffective. He required all units and departments to take “Safety Production Month” as an opportunity to internalize and put into practice the principle of “life first, safety foremost,” strictly implement the safety control requirements of governments at all levels, and ensure the thorough elimination of safety risks and hazards.

Regarding the key tasks for the next stage, Xiao Yao set out three clear requirements. First, all units must draw lessons from the accident, remain vigilant, strengthen their line of defense in terms of safety awareness, and resolutely prevent formalism in safety management. Second, they must maintain strict safeguards and make solid preparations for flood-season safety. As China has entered the flood season and extreme weather events are becoming more frequent, all units must strictly implement the deployment requirements of higher-level regulatory authorities, reinforce responsibilities at every level, strengthen water level monitoring and on-site inspections at South Hobsun Lake, and develop special response plans to prevent risks arising from rising water levels. Third, they must focus closely on the theme of “Safety Production Month” and ensure that all activities deliver tangible results. Awareness-building efforts should be closely integrated with practical work. The Company must further improve the two-tier risk prevention mechanism for graded risk control and hazard investigation and management, strengthen closed-loop management of major hazards, clarify the orientation of rewards and penalties, and comprehensively enhance its safety governance capabilities.
At the meeting, the safety officers of the Company’s subordinate enterprises briefly reported on their follow-up safety work plans, focusing on hazard investigation, flood-season emergency response, and specific measures for “Safety Production Month,” and clarified their implementation pathways.
After hearing the reports, Xiao Yao particularly emphasized that frontline personnel are where safety responsibilities are ultimately implemented and are also the key guardians of the safety line of defense. He required all employees to maintain a strong sense of responsibility and vigilance, and to ensure that all safety measures are implemented in every operational process and at every worksite. He also stressed that the Company’s Safety Committee will step up supervision and inspection, and will hold units and individuals seriously accountable for failures to fulfill responsibilities, inadequate implementation, or delayed rectification.
This meeting served both as a clear reminder through safety warning education and as a call to action for the Company’s annual safety work. With the full launch of “Safety Production Month,” the Company will draw lessons from accidents, follow regulatory requirements, strengthen coordination, and focus on implementation, continuously consolidating the safety foundation for high-quality development.
