Company Holds 2023 “Safety Production Month” Knowledge Competition

To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important remarks on safety production, and to motivate employees to actively learn safety knowledge, the company’s Trade Union and Safety & Environmental Protection Department jointly held the 2023 “Safety Production Month” Knowledge Competition on June 14 in the Lake Area multimedia classroom. A total of 60 employees from 20 teams across the company participated in the event.

The competition aimed to further implement the company’s primary responsibility for safety production, help employees understand and master safety skills and self-rescue abilities, and create an atmosphere where all staff actively focus on safety and participate in risk prevention.

The competition closely followed the theme of Safety Production Month. The 20 teams drew lots to determine seating and questions. The contest was divided into three rounds: individual compulsory questions, team quick-response questions, and audience interaction questions. The questions were flexible, focused, and comprehensive. The contestants displayed enthusiasm, determination, and a spirit of striving for excellence. After four hours of intense competition, the Power Supply Center team of the Utilities Department (Wang Zhouquan, Chen Fengxia, Qi Anglazhong) won first place; the Mining Workshop team of the Production Management Department (Dai Guozhong, Zhu Wenlong, Li Honglin) and the Comprehensive Office team of the Utilities Department (Zhang Fuchun, He Zhanchuan, Wang Xiaorui) won second place; and the first and third teams of Workshop One (Zhang Mingrong, Bao Guoliang, Ma Guoping; Pei Rong, Tao Xiaobei, An Huibang) and the Transportation Department team (Chao Xiangui, Li Kun, Wen Qiang) won third place.

The competition promoted learning through practice. The contestants supported safety production through their answers, effectively enhancing employees’ awareness of safety and fostering a positive atmosphere of learning and emphasizing safety. All participants recognized that safety production has no endpoint and should not be limited to “Safety Production Month”; only by maintaining constant vigilance can the company ensure long-term stable development.
