Laos Government Delegation Visits Our Company for Inspection and Research
On March 26, a government delegation led by Mr. Aisaphongthong Siphandone, Mayor of Vientiane, Laos, visited our company for an inspection and research activity. The delegation also included Mr. Thongpa Intavong, Vice Minister of the Lao Ministry of Energy and Minerals, and Mr. Bountan Vongthongsaa, Vice President of the Vientiane National Assembly, among others.

The delegation first visited Zangge Mining Investment (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and held a symposium at our company on March 27. During the meeting, Vice Chairman Xiao Yao delivered a speech and exchanged gifts with Mayor Aisaphongthong Siphandone and Vice Minister Thongpa Intavong. Mr. Du Qiang, General Manager of Zangge Mining (Laos) Development Co., Ltd., introduced Zangge Mining Investment (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. and reported on the progress of the Laos potash project. Currently, the exploration within the project area has been largely completed, with an estimated total potassium chloride resource of approximately 960 million tons. The resource potential is expected to increase further as exploration continues. The company has submitted the “Exploration Report on the Ba O Na Gehao-Tang Kun Potash Mine” to the Lao government for approval, and is also preparing the “Economic and Technical Feasibility Study Report” for the mine’s development.

On March 29, the delegation visited Golmud City in Qinghai Province to conduct an on-site inspection of our wholly-owned subsidiary, Golmud Zangge Potash Co., Ltd., focusing on its potash production and operations. On March 30, the delegation held a symposium with Mr. Jiang Xiuheng, General Manager of Golmud Zangge Potash Co., Ltd., Mr. Zhang Shengshun, General Manager of Golmud Zangge Lithium Co., Ltd., and other company leaders. During the meeting, Mr. Jiang delivered a speech and exchanged gifts with the Mayor of Vientiane. The parties engaged in friendly exchanges and expressed positive expectations for the jointly developed Laos potash project. In the afternoon, accompanied by company leaders, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Chaerhan Salt Lake mining area and discussed related salt lake resource development technologies with our team.

Laos is rich in mineral resources, including copper, iron, bauxite, and potash, with significant exploration potential and estimated reserves. Laos maintains friendly relations with China, and in recent years the two countries have strengthened communication and cooperation, establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership. Zangge Mining will focus on its current projects while continuing to seek new investment opportunities in Laos, contributing to local mining development, economic growth, Sino-Lao trade cooperation, and the deepening of friendship between the two nations.
