As the world’s largest consumer of potash, China relies heavily on imported potash due to resource constraints. As the country’s second-largest domestic potash producer, Zangge Mining actively responds to the national strategic reserve of potash, ensuring stable production and supply while maximizing the protection of natural resources, thereby contributing to national food security.

Like other mineral resource enterprises, Zangge Mining faces significant water consumption pressures, a common characteristic of the mining industry. As a company with both the responsibility of national food security and a strong commitment to ecological protection, how to maximize water conservation while maintaining production has been elevated to a strategic priority. Through continuous innovation and experimentation, the company has implemented a closed-loop water recycling system within its production processes. Furthermore, after identifying global opportunities in the new energy transition in 2018, the company established a 10,000-ton battery-grade lithium carbonate production line, integrating the lithium carbonate production process into the closed-loop water system to further improve the efficiency of water and mineral resource utilization.

The company consistently adheres to the environmental protection principles of “protection first, prevention-oriented, comprehensive management, public participation, and accountability for damages.” It strictly complies with all applicable environmental regulations in the regions where it operates and has established a series of internal environmental management systems to ensure rigorous control over potential environmental impacts.
