Zangge Potash Launches Second Round of Cleaner Production Audit

On September 10, Zangge Potash held a training and mobilization meeting for the second round of its cleaner production audit. The meeting was attended by Vice General Manager An Shoujun, Assistant General Manager and Production Department Director Xiao Bing, Assistant General Manager Yao Junyu, and heads of relevant departments.

Guided by Xi Jinping’s Thought on Ecological Civilization in the New Era and the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the meeting fully implemented the requirements of the Cleaner Production Promotion Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Notice on the 2024 List of Enterprises Subject to Cleaner Production Audit in Haixi Prefecture (Xi Sheng Huan [2024] No. 164). The goal was to unify company-wide understanding, advance cleaner production initiatives, improve resource efficiency, reduce pollutant generation and discharge, protect the environment, enhance corporate competitiveness, and promote sustainable socioeconomic development. The meeting outlined the company’s 2024 cleaner production plan and read aloud the Notice on Adjusting the Leadership Group for Cleaner Production Audit Work.

Vice General Manager An Shoujun emphasized the need to strengthen leadership and reinforce measures to ensure the solid advancement of cleaner production work. The leadership group is responsible for tracking and guiding implementation in real time; the working group must establish specific goal responsibility systems; and all relevant departments are required to support and coordinate closely to form a comprehensive, coordinated, and effective management structure. Tasks should be clearly defined, priorities highlighted, and all assignments fully implemented. The working group must carefully review each task, set clear completion timelines, and prioritize completion of the audit by the end of 2025. Departments are urged to acknowledge challenges, elevate awareness, and strengthen responsibility and urgency. All departments are called upon to recognize the significance of cleaner production, engage in education and publicity, and motivate employees to participate actively, fostering green and low-carbon development and promoting sustainable production and lifestyles.

Following the mobilization, cleaner production audit experts provided a detailed training session covering the overview of cleaner production, definitions and implementation procedures for cleaner production audits, key points to note during audits, and approaches to cleaner production. Participants from various departments engaged in in-depth discussions with experts on implementing cleaner production effectively and addressing practical challenges.
