Zangge Lithium Releases Two Salt Lake Industry Group Standards, Gaining Provincial Recognition for Leading Industry Standardization
Recently, Golmud Zangge Lithium Co., Ltd. took the lead in drafting and officially releasing two industry group standards—Guidelines for Patent Navigation in the Salt Lake Industry (T/QAS 146-2025) and *Specifications for Patent Value Evaluation in the Salt Lake Industry (T/QAS 147-2025). The implementation of these standards fills a long-standing gap in the sector and marks a significant step forward in advancing standardization within the salt lake industry.
This achievement has received high recognition from the Qinghai Provincial Intellectual Property Administration and was featured in dedicated coverage, underscoring its importance. The release of these standards is expected to provide strong institutional support for innovation-driven development in the salt lake industry and to further enhance the quality and effectiveness of intellectual property management across the sector.

As a leading enterprise in the development and utilization of salt lake resources, Zangge Lithium, together with Zangge (Sichuan) Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. and the Haixi Prefecture Salt Chemical Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center, conducted months of in-depth research and repeated expert deliberations to successfully establish a standardized framework tailored to the resource endowment and industrial characteristics of Qinghai’s salt lakes. Closely aligned with the national standards framework, the two group standards are grounded in the realities of Qinghai’s resource-rich salt lakes and clearly defined industrial chains, while also balancing scientific rigor with practical applicability. They provide a systematic and operable solution to support the high-quality development of the salt lake industry.
The Guidelines for Patent Navigation in the Salt Lake Industry are closely aligned with the characteristics of salt lake resource development and the industry value chain. The standard innovatively defines three distinct navigation pathways—regional planning, corporate operations, and research and development activities—and provides dedicated datasets, methodologies, and quality control requirements tailored to different application scenarios. By doing so, the standard ensures the systematic nature of patent navigation studies, the scientific rigor of analytical methods, and the standardization of result presentation. It also offers government authorities, enterprises, public institutions, and industry organizations a standardized implementation framework and typical application approaches, supporting more precise and efficient innovation-related decision-making.
The Specifications for Patent Value Evaluation in the Salt Lake Industry establish, for the first time, a three-dimensional evaluation framework tailored to salt lake characteristics, integrating legal, technological, and economic perspectives. Through the use of quantitative formulas and refined scoring criteria, the standard enables scientific assessment of patent technical value, market value, and overall value.
Within this framework, legal value covers core indicators such as patent family scope and the determinability of infringement; technological value focuses on key dimensions including the stage of technological development and substitutability; and economic value is linked to practical performance factors such as operating conditions and industry influence. Together, these elements ensure that the evaluation process is methodologically sound, quantifiable, and comparable.
Beyond providing salt lake enterprises with a standardized tool for patent portfolio planning and technology transactions, the standard also offers a replicable “salt lake model” for patent value assessment that can be referenced by other resource-based industries.
According to a dedicated feature released by the Qinghai Provincial Intellectual Property Administration, the effective implementation of the two group standards has successfully filled gaps in the standardization of intellectual property management within the province’s salt lake industry, providing strong institutional support for innovation-driven development. In recent years, Qinghai Province has promoted the implementation of three intellectual property group standards, and the two standards led by Zangge Lithium have further enriched the intellectual property standard system in specialized sub-sectors. These efforts have laid a solid institutional foundation for the standardized and high-end development of the salt lake industry, reinforcing the province’s capacity to support innovation through robust governance frameworks.
Going forward, Zangge Lithium will actively cooperate with the Qinghai Provincial Intellectual Property Administration to carry out standard promotion, training, and implementation guidance, advancing the broad application of the standards across the upstream and downstream segments of the salt lake industry chain. At the same time, the Company will leverage the two standards as a strategic foundation to continuously strengthen technological innovation and patent portfolio development, stimulate the effective flow of innovation factors, and support the high-quality development of Qinghai’s salt lake industry. Through these efforts, Zangge Lithium aims to contribute further to the efficient utilization of China’s salt lake resources and the upgrading of related industries, delivering sustained value through Zangge’s innovation-driven practices.
