Company Holds the 2023 “Firefighting Skills Competition”

To actively promote the “119” Fire Safety Awareness Month and further enhance employees’ fire safety awareness and practical response abilities, the company’s Safety and Environmental Protection Department organized all departments in the Lake Area to successfully hold the 2023 “Firefighting Skills Competition” on November 23. The event aimed to deepen the company’s fire safety system and strengthen employees’ emergency response capabilities.

The competition included three events: “Connecting Two Hose Reels by One Person,” “Air Breathing Apparatus Relay Run,” and “Wearing Firefighting Gear to Carry a Fire Extinguisher to a Designated Location.” These events comprehensively tested employees’ physical fitness, firefighting and rescue skills, and integrated fire prevention and emergency response capabilities, demonstrating strong relevance and practicality.

At the competition site, all participants gave their best, skillfully using various firefighting equipment and winning rounds of applause from the audience. After intense competition among 10 teams from various departments, the winners were as follows: In the “Connecting Two Hose Reels by One Person” event, Qi Xuehong from the Transport Department, Li Shengrong from the Logistics Department, and Liu Ying from the Quality Management Department won first, second, and third place, respectively; in the “Air Breathing Apparatus Relay Run,” Yuan Fugang (Transport Department), Guo Shiqiang (Facilities Department), and Wang Jinlong (Production Management Department) won first, second, and third place, respectively; in the “Wearing Firefighting Gear to Carry a Fire Extinguisher to a Designated Location” event, Li Chunhai (Facilities Department), La Mao Cairen (Production Management Department), and Shen Chengyan (Facilities Department) won first, second, and third place, respectively.

Deputy General Manager An Shoujun emphasized in his post-competition summary that fire safety is closely related to the lives of all employees and is a top priority in the company’s production safety work, as well as a lifeline for the company’s development. Through this firefighting skills competition, all employees should raise their awareness of fire safety in their minds, implement fire safety measures in their actions, always keep safety in mind during daily work and life, promptly identify and eliminate fire hazards, and prioritize prevention while integrating prevention and firefighting.

On the competition field, all participants worked together and competed with determination, creating a positive atmosphere for learning knowledge and skills. The training results were effectively transformed into practical work performance to promote safety development. The competition achieved the expected results and effectively enhanced the company’s practical firefighting training level.
