Zangge Potash 12th Staff Sports Games September Events Successfully Concluded
Badminton: Showcasing Excellence with Every Swing

The badminton tournament featured men’s singles and women’s singles, following an intense knockout format to determine the final champions. From the preliminary rounds, through the fiercely contested semifinals, to the climactic finals, participants competed with determination, displaying not only exceptional badminton skills but also remarkable perseverance and competitive spirit. On the court, players exhibited full enthusiasm, seamlessly executing a combination of defensive and offensive techniques including clears, smashes, and net shots. The white shuttlecock darted back and forth across the net, occasionally brushing the edge of the net in a thrilling display. Every swing, hit, and follow-through flowed smoothly, showcasing the outstanding demeanor and finesse of Zangge employees.

After two days of intense competition, Yang Zongping from the Public Facilities Department and Xiao Piqin from the Quality Management Department were crowned the men’s and women’s singles champions, respectively.

Standing Long Jump: A Leap of Challenge and Self-Discovery

On the jump field, participants adjusted their breathing, bent their knees slightly, swung their arms back, and focused on the horizon, preparing for a powerful leap. With a sudden push from the ground and upward swing of the arms, their bodies released full strength, aiming for the best possible jump within three attempts. While some competitors experienced momentary setbacks and failed to reach their peak performance, they quickly readjusted, returned to the take-off line with renewed determination, and made another effort. This spirit of perseverance and courage not only earned enthusiastic applause and cheers from the spectators but also inspired all participating staff. In the end, Zhang Qingyun from the Public Facilities Department and Dai Jizhuoma from the Production Management Department achieved outstanding results, winning the men’s and women’s championships in this event.
Checkers: Strategic Brilliance in a Compact Arena
Unlike the physical intensity of badminton and standing long jump, the checkers competition was a battle of intelligence and strategy. Participants arrived at their designated tables in accordance with a pre-drawn, transparent order. During the matches, players concentrated fully, analyzing each move on the board. Some furrowed their brows, carefully considering every piece’s potential, while others smiled subtly, satisfied with the strategies they had devised. Competitors employed their wisdom and tactics to engage in a series of exciting strategic duels. Spectators around the board observed respectfully, adhering to proper etiquette and refraining from any interference. After multiple rounds of head-to-head contests, Xie Junhui from the Public Facilities Department emerged as the champion of the checkers competition.
The badminton, standing long jump, and checkers competitions have now successfully concluded, highlighting the talents and spirit of each participant and allowing staff to shine beyond the workplace. The 12th Staff Sports Games now move into the final event, the “Walking Race,” which participants eagerly anticipate, ready to contribute their energy and enthusiasm to bring this year’s games to a perfect close.
