Zangge Mining Conducts ESG Training – July 2023 Session

On July 24, the July 2023 ESG training session of Zangge Mining was held in Chengdu. The training was conducted through a combination of offline and online methods, with 72 participants including company executives, middle management, and ESG specialists.

Mr. Li Zhuwen, Director of Sustainable Development at CIMC Group, was invited as the training guest. He provided an in-depth analysis of ESG management from four dimensions: "Embracing the ESG Wave," "ESG Creates Sustainable Value," "Chinese-style ESG Practices," and "Outlook and Recommendations."

In the "Chinese-style ESG Practices" section, Mr. Li shared CIMC Group’s ESG management strategy, experience in producing high-quality ESG reports, methods to enhance ESG management practices, and ESG supervision experience from the Group’s subsidiaries.

In the "Outlook and Recommendations" section, he analyzed the ESG management practices of comparable companies and offered numerous suggestions for improvement.

After the session, participants discussed the progress of ESG work at Zangge Mining. Executives in charge of various business lines expressed the desire to accelerate the introduction of an ESG indicator system to help colleagues quickly familiarize themselves and integrate ESG indicators into daily operations.

Zangge Mining attaches great importance to ESG work. Both the company’s board, management, and employees are enthusiastic about learning ESG knowledge. Through this training, the management and employees gained a deeper understanding of ESG and learned advanced ESG management concepts and more ideas for implementing ESG initiatives.
