Zangge Mining Recognized as “Best Progressing Enterprise” in CSA, Listed in Sustainability Yearbook 2025

Recently, in the publication of the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China Edition) 2025, Zangge Mining achieved a significant increase in its S&P CSA score, reaching 43 points, successfully making the Yearbook list and earning the title of “Best Progressing Enterprise in the Chemical Industry.”

Among more than 1,600 Chinese companies competing fiercely, only 164 were ultimately included. Of 109 chemical industry companies evaluated, only four made the list. Zangge Mining stood out for the largest annual score improvement in the industry, earning a place on the “Best Progressing in Industry” list and becoming the sole representative from the chemical sector.

What Matters Is Not the Score, but System Evolution

The S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) is currently one of the most influential and rigorous sustainability evaluations worldwide. It covers the three dimensions of Environment, Social, and Governance, with over 100 assessment criteria, characterized by high standards, significant weight, and transparency.

Zangge’s improvement is not a one-off “score boost” but a genuine reflection of systematic internal transformation:

Data governance has moved from “fragmented” to “integrated,” establishing an information system for sustainable development to improve data management efficiency and ensure strict data quality control;

Key topics are focused on industry core challenges, with strong attention to resource and energy management, emissions control, and occupational health management;

Report disclosures have entered a “refined operations” stage, ensuring traceability, comparability, and verifiability;

Internal mechanisms have shifted from “forcing reporting” to “business integration,” making sustainability a “daily language” across all departments.

Not the End, but the Beginning

Being listed in the Yearbook is recognition of the company’s sustainability achievements and also a motivational marker for moving forward. We clearly recognize:

In governance, there is still significant room for improvement;

In supply chain coordination, clean technologies, and emerging opportunities, further practices need to be refined;

In employee training, diversity and inclusion, and stakeholder communication, there is much broader room for advancement.
