Zangge Potash Carries Out World Water Day Campaign
On the occasion of the 33rd “World Water Day” and the 38th “China Water Week,” the Utilities Department of Zangge Potash organized a diverse and content-rich series of water conservation awareness activities from March 22 to March 28 under the theme “Empowering Enterprises Through Water Conservation, Building a Green Future Together.” The campaign called for active participation from employees and residents, achieving positive results.

On March 22, the Golmud Water Resources Bureau, together with the Golmud People’s Court, Zangge Potash Co., Ltd., and other enterprises, hosted a water conservation awareness event at Golmud Salt Lake Square. The company engaged residents by displaying water-saving banners and exhibition boards, distributing brochures and promotional gifts, and setting up consultation booths. These efforts effectively raised public awareness of water resource protection laws and daily water-saving practices.

On March 25, a Water Law Seminar was held at the lake area office building with participation from all departments. The seminar introduced the current state of the company’s water resources, as well as the Water Law, Water Conservation Regulations, Water Intake Permit, and Water Resources Management Measures. Presentations also covered Haixi Prefecture’s water resource allocation and the standards for establishing water-saving enterprises. This enabled employees to clearly understand the legal requirements of water intake, usage, and discharge during production and daily operations, helping to avoid violations and penalties while ensuring stable production. The session also explained water conservation incentive policies and tiered water pricing, enhancing managers’ awareness of rational water development, process improvement, water recycling, and cost reduction, thereby boosting economic efficiency. Through the dissemination of water laws and conservation regulations, employees’ awareness of water conservation and ecological protection was significantly strengthened.

During “China Water Week,” posters and bulletin boards promoting water conservation were placed in office buildings, workshops, canteens, and water supply rooms. Eye-catching slogans combined with vivid water-saving images highlighted the importance of conservation and provided practical daily tips, drawing employees’ attention. The bulletin boards featured content such as the current status of water resources, interpretations of water conservation regulations, and practical knowledge, effectively promoting the concept of water conservation.
Although the campaign has concluded, the commitment to water conservation continues. Moving forward, the company will transform the results of this campaign into concrete actions, optimizing water use management, improving water resource utilization efficiency, and contributing to the broader cause of water conservation.
