Zangge Mining and Qinghai University Join Forces to Advance Ecological Protection and Research on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau
On December 27, Zangge Mining and Qinghai University successfully co-hosted a seminar on industry–university research cooperation and ecological protection of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

During the event, the professor team from Qinghai University presented the background and progress of joint research projects, highlighting achievements in areas such as saline-alkali land improvement, mine site ecological restoration, and ecological monitoring in high-altitude regions. Ms. Tian Zhangyun, Director of the President’s Office of Zangge Mining, Assistant General Manager of Zangge Potash, and Director of the General Manager’s Office, spoke highly of these outcomes, emphasizing the importance of industry–academia cooperation and outlining prospects for advancing synergies between ecological conservation and economic development through technological innovation.
As part of the seminar, Zangge Mining also organized a dedicated ecological protection training session for ESG officers across its departments. The training covered technologies for saline-alkali land management, vegetation restoration, biodiversity conservation, and dynamic monitoring of plateau ecosystems. Tailored to the unique ecological characteristics of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the program enhanced participants’ understanding of local biodiversity and ecological protection in the Company’s areas of operation.

Zangge Mining remains committed to leading in green development and safeguarding the ecology of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. In July 2024, the Company signed a research cooperation agreement with Qinghai University to support the “State Key Laboratory of Sanjiangyuan Eco-Environment and Plateau Agriculture & Animal Husbandry,” focusing on ecological restoration research in the region. Through collaborative innovation projects with academic institutions, Zangge Mining is exploring sustainable models for resource development and ecological restoration. Looking ahead, the Company will continue to work hand in hand with the academic community to tackle climate change and ecological degradation challenges, contributing to the building of an ecological civilization.
