Zangge Mining Featured as “Most Improved Company” by CSA, Included in the 2025 Sustainability Yearbook
Recently, in the 2025 China Sustainability Yearbook published by S&P Global, Zangge Mining achieved a CSA score of 43, a significant increase from the previous year, earning a spot in the yearbook and receiving the “Best Progress in the Chemical Industry” recognition.
Among over 1,600 Chinese companies, only 164 were ultimately selected. Of the 109 chemical industry companies assessed, only four were included, with Zangge Mining ranking highest in annual score improvement, earning the distinction of “Best Progress in the Industry” and becoming the sole representative of the chemical sector in this year’s list.

The true achievement lies not in the score, but in systematic evolution
The S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) is among the world’s most rigorous and influential sustainability evaluations, covering Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) dimensions, with over 100 assessment indicators, emphasizing high standards, significant weighting, and transparency.
Zangge Mining’s score improvement reflects systematic internal transformation, not a one-time “score boost”:
Data governance has shifted from “fragmented” to “integrated,” establishing a sustainability information system to enhance data management efficiency and ensure data quality.
Key issues focus on industry-critical pain points, with high attention to resource and energy management, emissions control, and occupational health.
Reporting disclosure has entered a “refined operation” stage, ensuring traceability, benchmarking, and verifiability.
Internal mechanisms have moved from “pushing reports” to business integration, making sustainability a daily language across departments.
Not the end, but a new beginning
Inclusion in the yearbook recognizes Zangge Mining’s sustainability achievements while also serving as motivation to advance further. The company acknowledges:
Greater progress is possible in governance practices.
Supply chain collaboration, clean technology adoption, and sustainability opportunities still offer room for improvement.
Employee training, diversity and inclusion, and stakeholder engagement have broader development potential.
Looking ahead, Zangge Mining will continue to pursue transparent, high-standard sustainability management, embedding a “green foundation” into corporate development, while contributing greater sustainable value to the industry and society.
