Zangge Potash Leads ESG Transformation Among Suppliers
As a leading domestic listed company in the development of salt lakes and other mineral resources, Zangge Mining has consistently emphasized strategic planning and development in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), continuously optimizing management practices in environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. Since formally launching its ESG management initiatives in 2022, Zangge Mining has approached ESG through the lens of risks and opportunities, guided by sustainable value creation, actively responding to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), and focusing on ESG strategies centered on green development, collaborative progress with partners, and resilient governance. Through its own actions, the company contributes to global sustainable development. Globally, ESG has gradually become an important standard for evaluating a company’s sustainable development capabilities.

On October 11, the Supply and Storage Department of Zangge Potash invited several suppliers from Golmud to participate in an in-person exchange session on the Zangge Mining Supplier ESG Handbook. The session aimed to deepen suppliers’ understanding of ESG concepts and global development trends, help them recognize the importance of ESG in the current international market, showcase the company’s ESG practices and achievements, and provide a theoretical foundation for suppliers’ future ESG initiatives.

During the session, Li Wei, Director of the Supply and Storage Department, elaborated on the handbook and emphasized that suppliers’ ESG performance will become a key indicator in the company’s procurement decisions and supplier evaluations. Suppliers are not only business partners but also an essential part of achieving ESG goals.
Suppliers’ ESG performance affects not only the company’s overall rating but also directly impacts its competitiveness and sustainability in the global market. The company hopes that this exchange session will provide suppliers with guidance and directions for improvement, meet future expectations and management optimization requirements, and jointly build a green, fair, and transparent supply chain system that creates long-term value for all stakeholders.
