The Company Conducts Training on Contract Signing in Laos to Enhance Legal Risk Prevention

Recently, the Comprehensive Management Department of Zangge Mining (Laos) Development Co., Ltd. organized a specialized legal training session on contract signing in Laos, aiming to strengthen the awareness of risk prevention among various business departments and enhance their knowledge and capability in handling legal risks.

The training invited the company’s long-term legal counsel, Lawyer Shi Changsheng (Partner at Sunshine Law Firm, Laos), to provide detailed explanations on how to draft, execute, and mitigate contract risks in Laos, as well as how to resolve contract disputes and other legal issues.

More than 20 participants attended, including Wang Jubao, Party Secretary of Zangge Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Hou Ruifeng, Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs Department, and relevant leaders and personnel from Zangge Mining (Laos) Development Co., Ltd.

During the training, Lawyer Shi provided in-depth explanations, combining relevant Laos laws, on standardized procedures for contract drafting, contract formats, pre-contract risk prevention, effective measures to include in contracts, and dispute resolution, enabling Chinese staff to gain a comprehensive and systematic understanding of Laos’ legal regulations.

In addition, Lawyer Shi addressed participants’ questions in detail regarding contract notarization and translation in Laos, applicable law issues, resolution of labor disputes involving overseas employees in Laos, employee safety concerns, and other financial and tax matters.

Through this training, relevant staff further enhanced their knowledge of Laos contract-related laws and regulations and practical case experience, strengthened employees’ awareness of preventing and managing legal risks when signing contracts in Laos, and learned processes and techniques for handling legal cases. This laid a solid practical foundation for subsequent legal work and provided positive and important guidance for the company’s compliance and risk management in production and business operations.
