Chen Jinghe, Chairman of Zijin Mining Group, Visits Zangge Mining for Inspection and Research

From July 6 to 9, Chen Jinghe, Party Secretary and Chairman of Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zijin Mining”), led a team to Xining and Golmud in Qinghai Province for a four-day in-depth inspection and research of Zangge Mining Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zangge Mining”) and its subsidiaries. The delegation was accompanied by Wu Jianhui, Executive Director and Vice President of Zijin Mining and Chairman of Zangge Mining; Xiao Yao, Vice Chairman and CEO of Zangge Mining; and Long Yi, Vice President of Zijin Mining.

During their stay in Xining, Chairman Chen and his delegation met with key leaders of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government, providing detailed updates on Zijin Mining’s operations and strategic plans since becoming the controlling shareholder of Zangge Mining. The provincial leaders highly praised Zangge Mining’s development achievements and pledged continued policy support and a favorable environment for its growth.

On July 8, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of Zangge Potash Fertilizer and Zangge Lithium’s production and operations in Golmud. Executive Vice President Li Jianchang and Chief Engineer Zhang Shengshun, along with their expert teams, presented detailed reports on innovations in potash production technology, efficient utilization of salt-lake resources, and key technological breakthroughs in lithium extraction projects. They also provided a systematic overview of current operations and future strategic plans, which received high recognition and encouragement from Chairman Chen and his team.

After the inspection, a symposium was held at the headquarters of Zangge Potash Fertilizer. CEO Xiao Yao of Zangge Mining provided an in-depth report on the company’s current operations, emphasizing stable growth in the potash business, capacity expansion in lithium resources, and progress in the Laos million-ton potash project.

At the meeting, Chairman Chen Jinghe emphasized the following points for Zangge Mining’s next steps:

Align thinking and accelerate the construction of a “simple, standardized, and efficient” operational management system, comprehensively strengthening supervision, institutional frameworks, corporate culture, and ethical practices.

2. Continue to strengthen core business advantages, quickly overcome technical bottlenecks in the Laos potash project, enhance collaboration in the Tibet lithium sector, and explore technological breakthroughs in utilizing associated resources such as magnesium, laying a solid foundation for high-quality and sustainable development.

3. Promote digital and refined management. As Zangge’s scale expands, management upgrades are inevitable. Information systems are a crucial tool for the company’s next development phase. All production and business activities must operate on the information platform to ensure standardization, transparency, and eliminate “black-box operations.”

4. Fully leverage Zangge’s market-oriented advantages to attract talent, expand industry scale to train existing personnel, and build a talent pipeline for future development.

Chen Jinghe stated that he hopes Zangge will use this restructuring opportunity to further upgrade organizational management and integrate into the Zijin system, while avoiding blindly copying Zijin’s model. Originating as a private enterprise, Zangge has its unique strengths and characteristics and should explore innovative development models suitable to itself, contributing more significantly to local economic and social development. Zijin Mining will fully support Zangge’s growth to jointly create new brilliance for the company.

On July 9, Chairman Chen and his team communicated with key leaders including the Secretary and Mayor of Golmud Municipal Party Committee regarding Zangge Mining’s development plans, policy support, and business environment optimization. Golmud leaders expressed full support for Zijin Mining and Zangge Mining to achieve better and faster local development.

Subsequently, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Zangqing Industrial Park, received updates on its development, and discussed how Zijin Mining and Zangge Mining could better integrate into the park’s growth.

This inspection and research further strengthened Zangge Mining’s confidence in its development and provided clearer guidance for the company’s future direction. Zangge Mining will follow Chairman Chen’s guidance, leverage its advantages, continuously advance technological innovation and management improvements, accelerate high-quality development, and make greater contributions to Qinghai’s economic and social development.
