Chairman Chen Jinghe Holds Talks with Qinghai Governor Luo Dongchuan in Xining

On July 7, Chairman Chen Jinghe held a meeting in Xining with Luo Dongchuan, Governor of Qinghai Province.

Chen Jinghe briefed Governor Luo on Zijin Mining’s strong development momentum and investment activities in Qinghai. He stated that with the strong support and guidance of the Qinghai Provincial Committee and provincial government, Zijin Mining has successfully developed the Delni Copper Mine project in Guoluo Prefecture and cooperated with Qinghai-based enterprises to develop the Yulong Copper Mine in Tibet, achieving fruitful results. In late April of this year, Zijin Mining acquired control of Zangge Mining, a Qinghai-registered listed company. Starting from developing low-grade and hard-to-process mineral resources, Zijin Mining has built end-to-end independent research, design, and implementation capabilities in mining, gaining significant competitive advantages. The company has also accumulated rich and innovative practices in ecological protection. Going forward, Zijin Mining will continue to leverage its strengths in technology, talent, management, and market access to actively integrate into the modernization of Qinghai, achieve mutually beneficial development through practical cooperation, and contribute to the coordinated enhancement of Qinghai’s industrial capacity and high-quality economic and social development.

Governor Luo Dongchuan welcomed Chen Jinghe and his delegation on behalf of the Qinghai Provincial Committee and government. He noted that Qinghai is steadfastly advancing along the path guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping, focusing on building a highland of ecological civilization, developing the province’s four key industries, accelerating the construction of a green electricity-computation coordinated development demonstration zone, with new drivers and advantages for high-quality development increasingly emerging. Qinghai warmly welcomes leading enterprises and core industry players, including Zijin Mining, to invest and develop businesses in the province. He expressed hope that both sides will enhance the quality of existing cooperation, continuously expand innovation along the supply chain, and deepen collaboration in areas such as green and efficient mining and mineral resource exploration, thereby contributing to national resource and energy security as well as Qinghai’s economic and social development.

The meeting was attended by Zhang Jingang, member of the Standing Committee of the Qinghai Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor, relevant provincial government officials, Zijin Mining Vice Presidents Wu Jianhui and Long Yi, and executives from Zangge Mining and West Copper.

During his stay in Xining, Chairman Chen also visited partners including Western Mining and China Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group, holding discussions with their key executives to exchange views on cooperation opportunities in Qinghai and jointly explore new chapters for future development.
