Zangge Mining Receives “Outstanding Green Innovation Award” at the 3rd International Zero-Carbon Festival

On July 24, 2024, the 3rd International Zero-Carbon Festival and the 2024 ESG Leadership Summit successfully opened in Beijing under the theme of “Towards Carbon Neutrality”. The event brought together leaders and experts from various fields. Zangge Mining was honored with the “Outstanding Green Innovation Award” in recognition of its breakthrough in ultra-low-concentration brine lithium extraction technology.

In recent years, the Company has focused on its three core business sectors—potash, lithium, and copper—while advancing along an environmentally friendly and sustainable development path. With continuous practice and innovation in ESG, its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zangge Lithium, achieved a major technological breakthrough after years of R&D. The innovation enables the extraction of lithium from ultra-low-concentration brine and the direct one-step production of battery-grade lithium carbonate. This achievement has fundamentally reshaped the global lithium resource development landscape, positioning China’s salt lake lithium extraction technology at the forefront of the world. It was for this milestone that Zangge Mining received the Outstanding Green Innovation Award at the Festival.

During the event, the Company was also invited to share some of its recent achievements in the ESG field.
