Zangge Mining Co., Ltd. Co-Hosts the 2025 Potash and Potash Fertilizer Conference and Golmud Salt Lake Forum
On July 16, the 2025 Potash and Potash Fertilizer Conference and Golmud Salt Lake Forum grandly opened at the New District Convention and Exhibition Center in Golmud, Qinghai Province. The event was co-hosted by China Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd. and Zangge Mining Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), with the theme “Green Innovation · Digital Intelligence Empowerment · Building a World-Class Salt Lake Industrial Base Together”. The conference brought together elites from government, industry, academia, and research both domestically and internationally, providing an important platform to showcase China’s salt lake industry strength and promote international cooperation.
High-Level Opening Ceremony Gathers Industry Consensus; Government and Enterprises Discuss Development Together
On the morning of July 16, the opening ceremony was held in a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere. Leaders from national ministries and authoritative industry institutions, including the Department of Raw Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and the China Inorganic Salts Association, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches on topics such as national strategic layout, industrial policy orientation, and technological innovation breakthroughs, providing guidance for the future development of the industry. Qiao Yaqun, Deputy Secretary of the Haixi Prefecture Party Committee and Governor of Qinghai Province, representing the local government, introduced specific plans for supporting the construction of a world-class salt lake industrial base, based on Qinghai’s salt lake resources and industrial foundation.
At the opening ceremony, Wu Jianhui, Chairman of Zangge Mining, reviewed the company’s more than 20 years of development and explained that the company has consistently aligned with national strategic needs, cumulatively supplying over 10 million tons of potash fertilizer, making a crucial contribution as a “ballast” for food security. He emphasized that, in the face of complex global food security challenges and strong demand for lithium resources from the new energy industry, Zangge Mining has proactively adopted a “Resources + Technology” dual-engine development model, establishing a core technology system with independent intellectual property rights. Furthermore, he called attention to the fact that building a world-class salt lake industrial base cannot be done by a single company alone, requiring coordinated efforts and collaboration across the entire industry chain.
During the awards segment of the opening ceremony, in recognition of the company’s efforts in ensuring a stable supply of potash fertilizer, the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Golmud Zangge Potash Co., Ltd., was awarded the “2024 Outstanding Contribution Award for Ensuring Potash Supply and Price Stability” by the China Inorganic Salts Industry Association.
Exhibition Hall Interaction Yields Rich Results; Cooperation Intent Highlights Global Industry Appeal
After the opening ceremony, representatives from multiple domestic potash fertilizer distributors and agricultural cooperatives engaged in in-depth discussions with the Zangge Mining team in the exhibition hall, focusing on topics such as potash supply stability and new fertilizer research and development, with some companies expressing a willingness to deepen long-term cooperation on the spot.
During his visit, Sun Tun Lao Luo, Deputy Director of the Geological and Mineral Department of the Laotian government, showed strong interest in the exhibition hall’s potassium chloride product samples and salt lake lithium extraction processes, frequently stopping to inquire about technical details. After listening to the staff’s introduction of Zangge Mining’s technical advantages in efficient potash mining and low-energy processing, he stated: “Laos has abundant potash resources, but there is room for improvement in large-scale development and cost control. Zangge Mining’s experience is worth learning from. We look forward to substantive cooperation with Zangge Mining in potassium chloride mineral development, achieving complementary resources and technology advantages for mutual benefit.”
Strengthening Partnerships; Multi-Dimensional Interactions to Explore Future Collaboration
On the evening of July 15, the Company carefully organized a welcome dinner. Representatives from national potash producers, leading agricultural supply distributors, and agricultural research institutions gathered together. During the exchanges, participants shared industry updates and discussed market trends, fostering deep communication and mutual understanding across the industry chain, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
The following day, the Company’s senior leaders held a roundtable meeting with representatives from 11 key partner enterprises. The meeting focused on two themes: “reviewing past cooperation achievements and anchoring future directions.” Participants systematically reviewed results in potash supply chain stability, technological collaboration, and market expansion, summarizing successes and analyzing areas needing optimization.
This conference was not only an important stage for the Company to showcase over 20 years of development achievements, but also a window for China’s salt lake industry to communicate and exchange with global peers. From high-level policy interpretations to pragmatic cooperation discussions, from sharing technological innovation experiences to reaching international collaboration intentions, the consensus gathered and momentum generated at the conference are actively driving the salt lake industry toward greener, smarter, and more international development. As a leading enterprise in the industry, Zangge Mining will take this as a new starting point, continuing to safeguard the national “potash granary” for food security and contribute to the development of the new energy industry, striving to write an even more impressive chapter.
