ZGM Conducts a Training Session on Laos Contract Conclusion to Improve the Prevention and Control of Legal Risks

Recently, the General Management Department of Zangge Mining (Laos) Development Co., Ltd. organized a special legal training on contract conclusion in Laos to strengthen the understanding of risk prevention and control of various business departments and improve their knowledge and ability to deal with legal risks. In the training, the Company’s perennial legal counsel, Mr. Shi Changsheng (partner of Sunshine Law Firm in Laos), was invited to explain in detail how to conclude, enforce and avoid contract risks in Laos, as well as how to resolve contract disputes and other legal issues. More than 20 people attended the training, including Wang Jubao, Secretary of the Party Committee, Hou Ruifeng, Deputy Director of the Legal Affairs Department, of ZGP, and relevant leaders and personnel of Zangge Mining (Laos) Development Co., Ltd.

During the training, based on the relevant laws of Laos, Mr. Shi Changsheng gave an in-depth and detailed explanation on how to standardize the process of contract conclusion, the form of contract conclusion, how to avoid risks before the contract is concluded, how to agree on effective measures when signing the contract, and how to resolve contract disputes, which enabled the Chinese employees to have a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the laws and regulations of Laos. In addition, Mr. Shi Changsheng also gave detailed answers to the questions raised by the participants about the notarization and translation of Laotian contracts, the application of law, the resolution of labor disputes of employees outside Laos, the safety of employees, and other financial and tax issues.

Through this training, the knowledge of the laws and regulations related to the conclusion of contracts in Laos and the experience in case practice of the relevant employees have been further improved. The training also strengthened employees’ awareness of the prevention and control of the legal risks related to contract conclusion in Laos, helped employees learn the process and skills of handling legal cases, laid a solid practical foundation for subsequent legal work, and brought positive and important guidance for the Company’s compliance and risk management in production and operation.
